SNAPS (Special Needs and Parent Support)
Welfare Call are proud to sponsor SNAPS. Our sponsorship enables SNAPS to hire a swimming pool for therapeutic and recreational needs.
Here is a small selection of information taken from the SNAPS website to give you a better understanding of their aims. "SNAPS is a voluntary group set up and run by the parents and carers of children with special needs. The group has been running since 2004. The group has a management committee and adheres to a constitution. The group is open to any family who has a child with special needs."
The aims and objectives of the group
To provide information for parents/carers to access services for their children
To provide learning resources for members/parents/carers
To campaign on issues relating to service provision for children and adults with special needs and their parents/carers
To fund raise to help provide services and equipment for children and adults with special needs and their parents/carers
To be a fully inclusive group
